The Role
  • Supervise and direct the stewards across daily operations 
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness and hygienic standards are consistently maintained
  • Oversee washing, polishing, and storage of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and service equipment
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored in the correct location
  • Conduct weekly, fortnightly, and monthly stocktakes of equipment, kitchen supplies, cleaning materials, and disposables
  • Maintain par stock levels and assist with purchase orders for stewarding-related items
  • Check and receive deliveries, ensuring accuracy and correct storage and stock rotation
  • Liaise with logistics to ensure equipment is packed correctly for functions
  • Monitor equipment condition and report servicing, repairs, and maintenance requirements
  • Maintain organised and correctly labelled storage areas
  • Communicate effectively and take directions from the Operations Manager and Executive Chef 
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety policies and safe work practices
About You
  • Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen hand roles
  • Strong understanding of cleaning, hygiene, and safe work practices
  • Experience with stock control, ordering, and equipment management
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams
  • High attention to detail and organisation
  • Reliable and able to follow direction
  • Physically fit
